GTD & Meditation notes

So my Work:Flow GTD & Meditation talk on Sunday went pretty well I think.

More people arrived than I imagined and most people seemed to have an okay time with it all. We got quite a few nice Q&As and people seemed really happy and really up for it.

I’m not sure I made my main point at all well, it got lost in the jungle of ideas spilling from my hungover brain I think, but not bad for my first talk ever.

The meditation was peaceful and there was definitely a different feeling in the room when we were done. And only one person nodded off!  :)

I’m going to work this up a bit more, make it part of the Buddhadharma2.0 conference I’m thinking of running - might work as part of that bigger project.

Anyway, the main reason I’m blogging here now is that quite a few people asked for more information. I suggested these links.

Buddhist Geeks - great guys, really on it… the podcast is brilliant.

21st Century Buddhism - has  a great, weekly, podcast of teachings from NYC

The Science of Enlightenment‘ - funky teachings, not too heavy on the religion, pretty smart, modern worldview stuff, inspiring stories and ideas - Shinzen Young

Getting things done - Davidco - GTD(tm) - the gospel according to David

43folders - Excellent GTD geekery with style (and (mainly) Macs)

There are LOADS more, just Google GTD and/or meditation.
And, thanks for a great BarCampBrighton everyone! Had a most excellent time, depite being completely rubbish at Werewolf - my Drunken Master act didn’t work! :)
